Canine Repellent
While the old adage that claims dogs are mankind's best friend may still be true, many of these animals are now trained to specifically to attack strangers. These dogs are trained to strike out at people they do not know. Strays can be even worse - sometimes their natural self preservation instinct will be to assault other animals and even humans.

The spray will affect their respiratory system and slow down their breathing in addition to causing uncontrollable tearing of the eyes. These effects will only last for a short time, so they will not actually harm the animal in any permanent way, but they will give you the time you need to get away safely. Another form of canine repellant is an ultrasonic device that emits a high pitch frequency that only dogs are able to hear. These safety devices will stop a dog from barking, chasing and attacking and, like the sprays, do not have any lasting effects.
People who are likely to be in contact with dogs should definitely invest canine repellent- either the spray or ultrasonic type.
